The story of our barbershop
Since 1958 we have kept the barber's craft alive, just as our father taught us. Three generations, the same care: traditional technique, modern style and a broad smile.

1939
Ioannis Alexakis is born
On 7 October 1939 Ioannis Alexakis, son of Stylianos, is born in Kastelli — the man without whom our barbershop would not exist.

1958
The barber's diploma
At twenty he graduates from the Royal School of Leros with a barber's diploma and returns to his village, cutting hair alongside running a café and farming to support his family.

1970
Chania
He settles permanently in Chania and works alongside barber Konstantinos Chamourikos for the next thirty years.

1979
Giannis is born
On 3 January the first son, Giannis, is born — he will follow in his father's footsteps.

1981
Manolis is born
On 21 March Manolis is born; he will later bring together traditional and modern barbering in the shop.

2000
Passing the torch
Chamourikos retires. Ioannis takes over the shop with his eldest son, Giannis. Katerina Pitsitaki joins the team and is still with us today.

2003
New blood
Ioannis retires and his younger son, Manolis, takes the helm.

2020
His face, our emblem
The portrait of Ioannis Alexakis becomes the shop's logo — a tribute to everything we owe him.
